Our Journey ...

We enjoy traveling and we LOVE national parks, and world heritage sites . Every year, we visit a few places; some we have been to many times. We enjoy both the natural and the cultural aspects of traveling: seeing natural wonders and visiting historic sites -- churches, temples, castles and ruins -- and spending days in museums, and trying local food.

• Aug -- Washington State

  We hiked in a few national parks in the state of Washington ... never stopped marveling the magic of mother nature.

  This was our first time visiting this beautiful country. We stayed at Riads, including one that is a UNESCO heritage site.

  It was bitter sweet that the ACM-W council meeting was my last one, after serving on the council for 12 years. We managed to spend one day enjoying Madrid and its surroundings before the meeting.

  
• March -- Kaua'i and O'ahu, Hawai'i

  We celebrated our 25th anniversary in Hawai'i during the spring break.

  

• Feb -- Death Valley National Park

  Due to the rains of the summer and spring, an ancient lake re-emerged in the Death Valley Nation Park. We could not miss this one-in-100 year phenomenon.
