The quiz on Friday will cover most of Chapters 1 through section 4.6, and sections 6.1 through 6.7 in the text. This includes basic types and control structures, functions, strings, and parameter passing, pointers and reference variables (and the memory model in C++), and object-oriented programming in C++. It does not cover any of the material on arrays, friends, struct, namespaces, operator overloading, templates, or the standard template library.
